Users can create their videos into themed movies on their own with some special themes like Valentine’s Day Movie, Smiles of 2017, Mother's Day Movie, Father's Day Movie, In Loving Memory, They Grow Up So Fast, Meow Movie, Doggie Movie, and Selfie movie. This is one of the great features added by Google to its photo management platform, Google Photos. It has made easy for users to manually create custom themed movies in just a bunch of steps.

Both Android and iOS users who have Google Photos app and people who use the Google web can avail this feature. You can use Google photos to make personalized movies with help of Google Photos or allow Google by choosing photos according to your choices, add music of your choice and produce a custom movie. Google uses it’s machine learning app to create personalized videos for users. This new feature is similar to the custom videos and collage features available on Google Photos. To create your own movie using Google Photos, you just have to scroll to the Assistant tab on your Google Photos, tap on “Movie”. This application will automatically create a video for you. Desktop users can also take advantage of this new feature of the Google Photos.

Steps to Create a Custom Themed Movie on Google Photos

Use Google photos to make personalized movies i.e. to create custom themed movies, follow the steps mentioned below:
  1. Make sure that you have the latest version of Google Photos (Android/iOS) installed on your mobile phone. If you don’t want to update then, Movie Themes can be accessed on the web. Also, make sure that all your photos and videos are synced with Google Photos this to work.
  2. Now to get started, go to the Assistant tab located on the left.
  3. Click on the Movie Icon (Green Color) and select any one of the available themes according to your choice.
  4. Now, click “Get Started” from the pop-up menu.
  5. At this step, you will be either notified: ‘The clip is ready’ or it will be asked to pick a leading character depending on the theme you choose.
  6. For example, if you select “They Grow up so Fast”, then the app will ask you to choose a baby/child. Some movies with themes like “Smiles of 2017” will be automatically generated.
  7. Google Photos will send you a notification once it processes your movie. You can also go to editing page by tapping on the notification.
  8. Through Editing page, you can alter background music, include or exclude more shots, filters and add a title.
  9. After that just hit the Save button for exporting it to your library.

Steps to Edit a Movie

  1. To change music tap on the Music icon and select music according to you.
  2. To change theme just tap on the Theme icon (at the bottom). You can change the themes and then it will be visible while playing the movie.
  3. To remove clips, tap the Edit icon and select the clip you want to remove and send it to trash.
  4. After editing your movie just tap the Done.
Now you can use Google Photos to make personalized movies as it’s simple. It works like magic for the people who love to capture their special and happy moments via movies or photos.
